Beehive

このロッドの英語名はビーハイブbeehaive蜂の巣。どうしてその名をつけたのか疑問を抱き、Trout SmithsのSteve van Winkleに聞いてみた。"We dubbed this the "Beehive" in honor of the first fly fishing pack trip I ever took with my dad. We hiked to the Beehive Lakes in northern Idaho. I was 15 and we rambled to the trailhead in a 60s-era Jeep Wagoneer on a road my dad said, "...kept the tourists away." We loaded up and headed for the lakes on a damp, cold Idaho June day.Once we arrived, I caught 5"-8" Brookies with nearly every cast in a snow storm. I'm certain I was using one of the old Eagle Claw combo rods that remsembled a pole vault.
